Enrolments

Information on how to find, enrol, and start a child in your care at a school in Victoria is available on the Victorian government website.

  • ENROLMENT APPLICATIONS FOR FOUNDATION 2025 OPEN FROM MONDAY 15TH APRIL 2024 – WEEK 1 TERM 2
  • ENROLMENT FORMS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY 26TH JULY 2024
  • OUT OF AREA APPLICATIONS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY FRIDAY 9TH AUGUST OF THE OUTCOME OF THEIR APPLICATION
  • BOOKINGS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR OUR SCHOOL TOURS – Please meet at the school office by 9:15am on your chosen day.
Enrolment

If you are interested in enrolling at our school, please request anĀ Enrolment Form from our school office at pearcedale.ps@education.vic.gov.au or 5978 6250

As per Department of Education Policy – Foundation Enrolment applications for 2025 will be accepted from Term 2 2024.

Our school follows the Department of Educationā€™sĀ Enrolment PolicyĀ for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

The enrolment information packs for parents and carers and the early childhood sector are publicly available to download from theĀ Enrolling in Foundation (Prep)Ā webpage. The pack for parents and carers includes an application form.

Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. To find out whether you live in zone, visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au

All other applications will be considered subject to available space, and prioritised according to:

  1. students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time
  2. all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.

Required documents

Required documentation includes:

  • Completed enrolment form
  • Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, aĀ birthĀ certificate or passport)
  • Immunisation StatusĀ Certificate
  • If your child lives between two households it is required that an Alternative Family Enrolment form is completed for Adult B

You will also be required to provide information about:

  • your contact details
  • emergency contact details
  • health information about your child (such as allergies or illnesses they need to manage)
  • other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare (if any)
  • Two items of Proof of Address e.g. Rates, Utilities notice etc.

School zones

Our school zone is available onĀ findmyschool.vic.gov.auĀ whichĀ hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.

Students residing in our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.Ā  Often our school also has additional capacity available to welcome students who are outside of our school zone.

The Department provides guidance through theĀ Enrolment: Placement PolicyĀ to ensure that students have access to their designated neighborhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.
