2024 Curriculum Contributions

Dear Pearcedale Primary School Parents and Carers,

Pearcedale Primary School is looking forward to another great year of teaching and learning and would like to advise you of the voluntary financial contributions for 2024.

Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian Curriculum and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students.

Within our school this support has allowed us to provide the environment and resources that we enjoy today through the contributions made by our Pearcedale Primary School community over many years.  Parent and Carer contributions have made significant difference to the quality of our programs.
This financial support ensures that we can continue to provide the excellent range of facilities and resources for your children. Your support in 2024 will continue to allow us to:

·         Provide high quality programs and specific subject materials and equipment for: English, Mathematics, STEM, Art, Performing Arts, Inquiry Units, AUSLAN, PE and Health and Wellbeing

·         Maintain and develop the school grounds and playgrounds

·         Ensure the upkeep of our computer devices to enhance learning opportunities

·         Maintain sufficient class sets of books for students to develop student reading skills

·         Facilitate Literacy and Mathematics online digital subscriptions

We want to thank you for all your support, whether that is through fundraising or volunteering your time.  This has made a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.

Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF)

Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund ensures that no student misses out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors, excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works and sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are part of a healthy curriculum.

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. The allowance will be paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions, or sporting activities for the benefit of your child. The annual CSEF amount per student will be: • $125 for primary school students • $225 for secondary school students.

Contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from www.education.vic.gov.au

You should lodge a CSEF application form at the school by 25th February. For more information about the CSEF visit www.education.vic.gov.au/csef
